About Us
Deena Petrucci - Owner and Director
Deena Petrucci is the owner and director of Deena's School of Dance. She opens the school with over 28 years of experience. Deena began training at the age of 2, and also was a competitive gymnast for six years. She has performed in local theatres in musicals such as Fiddler on the Roof, Singin in the Rain, Bye Bye Birdie, and several Christmas productions. The last 16 years Deena has focused her training in the teaching end. She has taken class with master teachers and attends many teacher training programs yearly to stay up with all the new styles of dance and teaching techniques.
Deena's passion comes from the love she has for children, in teaching them the love of dance and finding happiness in their very own best. She strives in letting each student know that their best may differ from another student's best but that they are always equally important and shinning in her eyes.

Her greatest achievement has been becoming a wife to her wonderful husband Chris, and mother to her three amazing children Dominic, Mia, and Ronnie. It is from being a mother that Deena has learned so much about what families are looking for, that when students enter the studio they will be given the respect that Deena would be looking for with her children's programs.
This is what sets Miss Deena apart from other dance teachers because, when your students enter the room they are not just a student but a part of Miss Deena's family and will be treated as such.
Nancy Schlott - Ballet and Pointe Instructor
A love of dance, and especially ballet, has been present in Miss Nancy's life from early childhood. She began taking ballet lessons at the age of 6 in Nashville, TN. She went on to perform with the Centennial Youth Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, and Indianapolis Ballet. Upon receiving her Bachelor's degree in Education from Memphis State University, Nancy moved to Delaware, where she trained, taught, and performed with many local ballet studios.
Nancy is very grateful for the understanding and support she receives from her husband and three boys with all her endeavors. From her 13 years of teaching ballet and pointe, Nancy wants her students to work hard, have fun, and be curious about the world around them.

Allison Clanton - Dance Instructor
I began my dance training at the age of 3 in Oxford, PA. I continued my training in the Philadelphia area studying ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, contemporary/lyrical and also trained and competed in Artistic gymnastics. In addition to dancing, I had the privilege of working as a Certified Nurse s Aide for 2 years.
Throughout my years of dance, I have had the opportunity to participate in numerous dance competitions, conventions, as well as perform in many special events including the televised 6 ABC's Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade's, Sunoco's Welcome America 4th of July Parade's, Marian Anderson Awards Ceremony, Walt Disney World, FL, and The Republican National Convention in Philadelphia, just to name a few.
I also loved my many years of performing the Nutcracker Ballet with my studio, and eventually served as Assistant director, and choreographer. While teaching the art of dance, I also began coaching recreational & competitive gymnastics, and served as the summer camp director in both dance & gymnastics for 4 years.
I love watching my students growing, learning, and having fun all at the same time. I believe in building each students confidence, while helping them learn team work and discipline. I truly develop a special bond with all of my students and love to see them shine.
